Jamielnik is a village located on the northwestern edge of the commune, about 12 km from Nowe Miasto Lubawskie. The village was first mentioned in 1320 (Myspelwalde). The name Jamielnik has been used since 1570.
The village has got 1064 inhabitants. There is a church, a primary school, a vilage clubhouse, a volunteer fire department, a train station in the village council.
