The oldest mention of the village of Bagno comes from 1789, when the village was called Bagna, due to the extensive peat bogs stretching on the west of the village. At that time it was a noble estate, which included three residential buildings.
The village has 212 inhabitants. There is a village clubhouse in the village council.
