The village is located 3 km northeast from Nowe Miasto Lubawskie. Nawra was mentioned for the first time in 1404 and at that time it was the property of the Order. In 1880 there were 368 inhabitants (320- Catholic and 48- Evangelical).
The village has got 453 inhabitants. There is a village clubhouse.
