Tylice is a village located about 4 km east from Nowe Miasto Lubawskie. It was mentioned for the first time in 1319. There was a church in tylice at that time. In 1885 Tylice was inhabited by 645 inhabitants (including 633 Catholics).
There are 599 inhabitants in the village. There is a church, a voluntary primary school, a village clubhouse and a volunteer fire department in the village council.
